Liftopia is the largest e-commerce marketplace for lift tickets in North America and Europe. Customers come to Liftopia to find affordable lift tickets and attractions tickets along with a seamless purchase experience. Partners rely on Liftopia to power their dynamic pricing models, partner intelligence tools, and their white-labeled e-commerce experience so they can focus on what they do best - running a ski resort. I worked on a team of talented designers, PMs, and engineers to build features that enable folks to embrace their passion for skiing and the outdoors.Some responsibilities and achievements include:• I led responsive website and purchase path redesign for Liftopia.com and over 100 white-label partner sites leading to the addition of new business verticals such as parks and attractions and lodging & lift ticket bundling• I enabled Liftopia’s entry into the European market by identifying and spearheading API integrations with ski gate technologies Skidata and Axess, resulting in 5 new partners in the first two seasons since launch• I managed integration with insurance provider Allianz resulting in over $500,000 in revenue from 31,000 opt-ins, enabling guests to insure their trip and make their ski vacation care-free• I designed a payment plan feature, increasing customer payment options and securing a valuable long-term partnership that resulted in $7,000,000 per year in revenue from season pass sales• I served as the internal GDPR expert, responsible for establishing and maintaining Liftopia’s compliance

At Healthgrades I coordinated efforts to create tests for core features throughout the website as well as on-site marketing, all aimed at increasing physician contacts and driving consumers into sponsored content (short articles about health topics sponsored by big Pharma brands). I worked with Product Managers, Designers, and Ad Operations to see each project through its life cycle: creative brief -> design -> build -> site deployment -> performance analysis -> product optimization.In this role, I learned not to assume that the prettiest design was always the most engaging, and my favorite comps rarely "won". Relatedly, I learned to trust data over opinions.

At Vail Sports I oversaw 4 hourly shop employees and was responsible for keeping store inventory up to date, providing input on company gear-buying decisions, and training employees to size, fit and sell skis and boots. During the summer months, I managed the Gore Creek Fly Fisherman fly fishing shop where I set up guided trips and conducted daily casting clinics, which we used as a promotional tool to attract customers and inform passersby of the shop's purpose.

During my first year in the shop, I sold boots, skis, and other ski hard goods. Skiing is a fun and crazy world, where you can geek out on the smallest details, because even the small tweaks to your setup can change your experience on the slopes. I found that I loved dwelling on those details, but the real skill that I picked up was figuring out how much the customer cared (hint: not nearly as much as I thought). Instead of oversharing, I learned to ask questions, to understand how exactly they approached a day out on the slopes, and from there, I was able to help them find the perfect boots and skis. In that way, working in the ski shop was a perfect first job out of college, because I learned to meet people where they are, which is a lesson that stuck with me throughout the rest of my career.

SummerQuest is a summer school program for underserved children in the Vail Valley. I taught math and language arts lessons and some really fun electives (including fly fishing - a real crowd-pleaser and a ton of fun for the students). I designed the curriculum and helped our SummerQuest leader run a successful education-based summer school program for 40+ middle school students.

• Coordinated a week-long conference in D.C. for the staff of all 10 Department of Education regional offices• Prepared daily briefs on speaking engagements, public events, and national organizations for the Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan• Promoted and organized Secretary Duncan's weekly "Read to the Top" events where he invited various Obama cabinet-members to the Department of Education offices to read short stories to elementary school students
