My role as a Project Engineer(Manager) is to oversee a project from beginning to end by forming relationships with project stakeholders, laying out the project scope and budget, developing project milestones, hosting team meetings, and holding teams accountable, while properly documenting progress by using advance product quality planning (APQP). The types of projects I have worked on include projects driven by ROI's, process improvements, new product configurations, capital projects, and sourcing new product/materials. My Main Role:-I oversee four other missionaries and get to work closely with them to reach out to the students at the University of Colorado. Weekly, I get to run team meetings, individual one-one-ones, and team formation. -As a full-time missionary, I fundraise a full-time salary, which has accumulated to $120k over 3 years though directly contacting donors, setting up appointments, and making an "ask".-FOCUS operates like a consulting firm, so another main role is to maintain a relationship with my boss at FOCUS and the Chaplin at the University of Colorado.-I have gotten the opportunity to meet up with 25+ students weekly to talk about how they are forming themselves and others. My role in our meet up time is to teach them how to teach other students how to evangelize.Extra FOCUS Projects I'm Involved With:-Mission Trip Director: I have lead mission trips to Jamaica, Indonesia, Ireland and directed a trip to Jordan. My Main Role: At Crossfit Aggieland, I got to teach, lead, and manage a CrossFit workout class ranging from 5-30 people in one-hour time slots. The job included creating/maintaining relationships with members, presenting complex exercises in a digestible way, and keeping safety as the highest priority, all within the designated time of a class. I was able to motivate people during the hardest times of their workouts to achieve the goals they had set.Extra Things I Participated In:-Programming Meetings- every month, the owner of the gym would write out programming for the next month. This gave me the opportunity to be mentored by his way of thinking. This helped me to learn to think on the spot with modifications of workouts for members, based on the overall goal. I was able to not only form the physical side of athletes, but also the mental side of why we do things. -Crossfit Aggieland Competition Team- I competed on teams ranging from 2-6 people with other members or employees from the gym. I got to hold people accountable for how they would eat, sleep and do outside of training time to achieve success in competitions.
