After receiving a BS in Business Administration, focusing in Accounting, I began work as a full-time Payroll Technician for Altus Schools. I was promoted to Payroll & Accounting Technician at Altus in September of 2019 and began my professional accounting journey. My responsibilities included all the general accounting for Audeo Charter School III, one of the eight schools founded by Altus. I grew extensively in this role over time, maintaining the organization's fixed asset accounting and attendance accounting for all eight schools across San Bernardino, San Diego, and Riverside Counties. I provided support to the payroll department and was the project lead in implementing our electronic timesheets system. Currently, I hold the position of Financial Systems Analyst at Altus and I am responsible for the overall health of our financial enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. In addition to that, I also continue to maintain my previously assigned duties as a Staff Accountant. I am interested in cultivating long-term business and accounting relationships, in any industry, to further build my experience and reputation. During college, I worked as a business and mathematics tutor at the SSU Tutorial Center covering Statistics, Finite Mathematics, Economics, Financial and Managerial Accounting. My background in the education industry isn’t something I sought out directly, but I have found a deep passion for supporting my peers and community through education. My goal for 2024 is to seek impactful professional experiences that further develop my expertise in financial management and business administration. I am open to opportunities around the Greater Spokane area, Washington State Area, and anywhere across the Pacific Northwest. My long-term goals include raising funds to invest in real estate, developing a career in leadership, and owning a small family business.
