UWM's purpose for the system is unique: to test biomechanical properties of copepods to understand how they conduct locomotion, and how their efficiency may be applied to micro-robots.• Wrote comprehensive work instructions on using the system for specific experiments.• Collaborated with technicians at the micro-tensile testers manufacturer to ensure testing accuracy. • Conducted thrust force experiments on copepods which yielded inconclusive results.• Awarded Honorable Mention in the engineering poster competition. • Continued support of the research as a volunteer through the 2015 summer.
