About Luke Thrower
I am a graduate of the Open University with a natural science BSc (Hons). My main motivation for studying came from being initially told at school that I didn't have a "Science" brain, and so it became a major goal to challenge that view and to push my personal development - achieving this in 2017, with 5 years of work culminating in both a degree, as well as varied work experiences. During my time with the Open University, I joined the Open University Student Association, as well as helped to support the initial beginning of the Open University Young Student Association, in order to aid other students in their studies, offer advice and guidance, and show what an opportunity self-development in distance learning can be, against attending a standard brick university.I've always been willing to throw myself into challenges and experience things I've never done before. Leading a squad of cadets at 16 and being their captain, even with some of them being older than me, onto expeditions to the lake district and the Scottish hills is one of my personal, proudest achievements.I enjoy writing and was Invited to write pieces to support the work of the LinkedIn editorial team, focusing on students and young people in work, and contributing content to a monthly editorial calendar. Now I am using this interest as a way of monitoring my learning as I progress in my programming and data skills. in Bash, SQL and Tableau.
Listed skills include Customer Service, Sourcing, Sales, Business Development, and 33 others.
