Completing 6 months in the kitchen I decided to move to my area of expertise in a front of house position. I worked within the hotel's signature all day dining restaurant The Collins Room. My role involved serving across a range of service times including breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Using my vast restaurant experience and my first hand kitchen knowledge of the hotel's food preparation I was able to provide a service up to the hotels high standards. During this period the hotel was awarded "best themed afternoon tea 2023".

Following an almost 2 year hiatus from the Hospitality and Catering industry, I moved to London to work in a Forbes rated 5 star hotel. Finding an opportunity within the kitchen team I was primarily responsible for the preparation of the Pret à Portea Afternoon Tea sandwiches and savoury canapés.

Taking to a new line of work, in this role I was able to help provide Emergancy support for over 200 homeless clients in Portsmouth during the COVID 19 Pandemic. As this role evolved I was able to provide more in depth support into helping find housing, and sourcing the appropriate specialist support needed for clients with more complex circumstances. I also received various basic drug and mental health related training which included overdose response and have been able to provide person centred 1-1 support sessions for those with complex lifestyles.
