Assigned to the Information Security Lab as an intern, A lot of my time was spent learning about the basic concepts of security such as cryptography and network security that the Lab deals in. Besides that, I was also given various other tasks such as:1) Conducting web vulnerability assessments on company websites using tools like Nessus and IBM App Scan to compile a security report2) Conducted manual web security assessments on company websites to look for a vulnerability3) Handling basic Linux administration duties such as troubleshooting services that are not working, creating scripts using bash and ansible to create a smoother workflow and performing maintenance on web services that needed updates
