As an Operations Officer in IFC, I was responsible for a number of tasks in the region including facility management, administration and implementation of IFC SME Venture programs. As a Regional IFC Facilities Coordinator for Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka, I was supervising facility management in the region, providing day to day management and leadership to the admin and facility management teams. As a security focal point, I was also looking after business continuity of the corporation, safety and security of IFC staffs and assets.

My main responsibilities were to; Develop strategies for capacity building of Business Management Organizations (e.g. chambers, business associations etc.), local government bodies in providing better services to the SMEs and in promoting conducive local business environment.Design appropriate interventions to reduce business constraints, implement and monitor the interventions in relation to the strategies developed in the chosen area of work and regions.Establish and maintain extensive network with local leaders (government, local government, chambers, business associations, think tank etc.) to ensure smooth implementation of project initiatives.

Business Advisory Services Center (BASC) was a USAID funded business support project for the development of private sector in Bangladesh. As the Executive Director of BASC, my main responsibility was to lead a group of specialists/professionals and consultants in Business Development Services practicing the essential principles and emerging best practices. The works include sub-sector studies, market research, information dissemination, business counselling and Training of interest and of use to entrepreneurs to promote the growth and development of Small and Medium Enterprises in Bangladesh.

I worked as a Technical Assistance (TA) Consultant in the Institutional Support Project (ISP) of Local Government Engineering Department under Rural Employment Sector Programme (RESP). The program was funded by SIDA and managed by HIFAB International AB of Sweden. My main responsibility was to build capacity of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED). I was involved in training management activities, those include preparing training policy, annual work plan, training calendar, budgets, methodology for training courses, developing technical course module etc. (I also worked as a part time Resident Representative of Hifab International in Bangladesh in 2007)

As an expatriate civil engineer in Nigeria, my main responsibilities were to plan and implement the construction works as per contract agreement and to provide on-the-job training to Nigerian Site Supervisors. I was responsible to supervise and monitor the progress of different sites and managed a workforce of 150 people engaged in different construction sites in different states of Nigeria.

Main tasks were to survey, design and implementing Water Supply and Sanitation program of the Government of Bangladesh.
