• The San Jose Guild was a labor union representing newspaper workers at the San Jose Mercury News and Monterey County Herald. It became part of the Pacific Media Workers Guild local union as a result of a merger.During.
• Led settlements of landmark collective bargaining agreements featuring enhanced benefits for women and domestic partners.
• Successfully directed large-scale union organizing campaign in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
• Recruited, trained and inspired several generations of union and community leaders.
• Co-facilitated 2006 employee ownership effort at 12 former Knight Ridder newspapers.
• Proposed and participated in strategic research partnership with University of California – Davis professor Chris Benner to identify innovative union and employer responses to ongoing challenges in the newspaper.

The Detroit Guild is a labor union representing workers in the Detroit area. I assisted in negotiating collective bargaining agreements, working with other community leaders and enforcing health and safety statutes.
