Hi everyone!Let's break the ice. I grew up in the Bay Area, California being a foodie and boba connoisseur. I am a social butterfly and have a lot of passion for health and accessibility. From a young age, I was interested in medicine and science. I joined a field of study at Castro Valley High School called HABiT (Health and Biotechnology Academy). Taking courses, participating in drills, and an internship at a pharmacy, provided me a solid foundation in the medical field. As well as the passion to continue to work with medicine and health. Bringing with me my experiences from high school to undergrad, I joined many student affiliated organizations which led me to new experiences in health promotion and exposure with health advocacy and public health. Being a cabinet member for Vietnamese Student Association, I was able to land an opportunity for work experience in health education for my campus. After undergrad, I continued working in health advocacy to my current role.I have come to realize that not everyone has access to health resources so I am determined to reach out and provide them support and any health resources they may need. I know I have what it takes to lend them a helping hand and connect them to right resource. I have learned and will continue to learn new perspectives and encourage others to step out of their own bubbles by being inclusive and understanding. Based on my experiences and education, I know what it takes to pursue these passions and I can apply them to future careers.
