Hi! My name is Lydia Duffy, and I am a Social Work major at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I will be graduating in the fall of 2017 with the intentions on getting my Masters. Social work has become a passion of mine, and my top interest is in mental health. I hope to work with and specialize in mental health of children. My skills include excellent writing, listening, organization, building strong relationships, and determination. I wish to make a difference and improving many lives. I love working with people and understanding all walks of life. Keeping strong relationships with your colleges and building rapport by mastering listening skills with your clients is a crucial part of social work. I feel like I have a calling for helping others. I am excited to see what this career has in store for me, and willing to take on all new opportunities with an open mind.
