My whole career has centred around education in some form. I was a primary teacher and Science Subject Leader in a large primary school for 20 years and, during this time, became a primary science specialist, teaching hands on, practical science throughout the school. I then formed the company Blast Science, with Brad who had previously worked at the Science Museum and Herstmonceux. We delivered fast paced, visual and entertaining science to children and families across Sussex. We did hundreds of shows, parties and public events and won the Kallikids Best Science Entertainer Award as a result.I then worked at a beautiful walled garden attraction in Brighton promoting their learning and outreach. This led on to a freelance role as Education Consultant in the Stanmer Learning project. This involves creating a suite of cross curricular learning resources and delivering hands on sessions to local schools and trainee teachers. I now work for Brighton Council with children who are home educating or have medical needs, supporting and facilitating their access to education. I am looking for a new role which utilises my knowledge, skills and passion in primary science, science engagement and education in general.
