As a dedicated junior at New York University, I am immersed in the captivating realms of Global Public Health and Global Liberal Studies, with a particular focus on Cultural and Social Identities. My academic journey has been a dynamic tapestry woven with enriching experiences at NYU's global sites in Florence, Italy, and Accra, Ghana.Exploring the intricate intersections of health, culture, and identity has been at the heart of my educational pursuits. As an undergraduate at New York University, I've come to realize that health is not confined to its medical definition—it permeates every facet of our lives. I am passionate about understanding the multifaceted aspects of health and recognizing the significant impact of societal issues on healthcare disparities.Through hands-on experiences at the Clinton Health Access Initiative and the Ghana HIV/AIDS Network, I’ve contributed to impactful research and public health initiatives. Currently, as a participant in Columbia University’s prestigious Summer Public Health Scholars Program (SPHSP), I’m gaining invaluable field experience in addressing urban health challenges.My eagerness to gain insights from beneficiaries and stakeholders stems from a profound belief that addressing even seemingly insignificant societal issues is crucial for achieving equitable healthcare. I am poised to leverage my interdisciplinary expertise to bring about positive transformation in society.Currently pursuing a major in Global Public Health and Global Liberal Studies, I envision a future in epidemiology with a specialization in nutrition, women's health, and infant/maternal health with a particular focus on LMICs.
