Profile bio

About Lydia Chung

As a junior majoring in computer science at the University of Southern California, I'm driven by a passion for technology. I'm highly proficient in Python, Java and C++ and I'm currently employed by USC Student Equity Inclusion Programs as a Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Peer Educator where I facilitate trainings and workshops on DEI topics. Previously, I was employed by USC Viterbi's CS@SC program where I taught computer science basics to children in various languages and revamped the educational materials as a curriculum development consultant over the summer. I was also previously employed by the USC American Language Institute (ALI) where I worked with international graduate students on their teaching skills, their English skills, and their understanding of American culture. Over the years, I've developed a diverse set of soft skills as well, including effective communication, adaptability, and organization/management. Looking forward, I'd like to pursue an interdisciplinary career that utilizes both my technical background and soft skills.
