Directly supports the monitoring and control of project costs and schedules for contracts requiring a validated cost/schedule control system. Performs financial analyses that contrast planned and actual project costs, and prepares reports summarizing this analysis, with these reports used to ensure that contracts are maintained within negotiated and agreed-upon cost/schedule parameters and government cost-control guidelines. Participates in the preparation of initial budgets and schedules for contract work, and in their periodic revisions, and uses budget/schedule output to create funding profiles, sales outlooks, and variance analyses. Serves as primary point of contract to the Program Manager in ensuring adequate project-funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, preparing expenditure projections, and providing input to the Contracts group for use in submitting timely requests for funding. Incorporates contractual changes into project control systems and track outstanding project work against contract work plans, in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.Coordinate all financial TPC activities to ensure proposal and project financial needs are met.
