In 2016, the integrated offices (New South Wales and Victoria) of Hunt & Hunt made the decision to federate. This had a significate HR impact, necessitating that systems and records be separated and/or replicated. Since federation, I report to the NSW Managing Partner and am responsible 120 staff. Owing to my years' experience and corporate memory, I also served as an advisor to the other Hunt & Hunt branded offices (Victoria and Northern Territory).

At its peak (2000), Hunt & Hunt was the 10th largest law firm in Australia with a network of six integrated offices and three federated offices. By 2016, the integrated firm had reduced to two offices and staff numbers were below 150.Key achievements:• Launched 12 twelve-month leadership program for senior associates and special counsel. Course content included: building networks and profiles, personal business plans, how to use social media, business intelligence, strategic planning in law firms, finance within law firms. 44 senior associates graduated from the program. From that pool, 15 were offered partnership within two years of completing the program.• Instrumental in implementing a new HR management system: HR 21• Instrumental in a new payroll system: Chris 21• Designed performance reviews for all partners and staff• Implemented an automated online performance system for lawyers: ePerform• Implemented career planning and nomination process for appointment to non-equity partner, senior associate and associate.• Ran bi-annual workshops with partners and staff on how to prepare and discuss their performance reviews• Ensured the firm was compliant on annual government reporting including work health and safety, equal employment and gender equality• Used Mercer pay-monitor for salary benchmarking• Hosted monthly matter analysis for senior associates and associates.
