I currently am a 6th grade teacher of Literacy (reading, writing, and social studies) in the middle years at my school. I provide turn around teacher development for the staff at school and represent my school at Site-Based Teacher Leader meetings in the School District of Philadelphia. In addition, I create data action plans and agendas for staff literacy meetings as well as serve on our data analysis committee and climate committee. I have great experience working with students who come from a plethora of backgrounds, such as special needs, ESOL, and students with disadvantaged backgrounds. I am highly trained in using blended learning programs, text based analysis, writing across the curriculum with a focus on raising self-efficacy, Google classroom, and connect with parents and students using my class website as an informational tool for learning.
