With 24 years in the water and wastewater industry , I am currently the Chief Environmental and Safety Officer for American Water, focused on strengthening EH&S leadership and Risk Management. Prior to this role I served as President of New York American Water working towards enhancing my career development and personal growth. Previous roles have included Director of Internal Audit for SUEZ, environmental health and safety audit and corporate security, emergency response planning . In theses roles, I have provided an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the groups operation.Previous roles have included Manager of SUEZ Water Westchester, where I was responsible for overall management and operational performance of two separate water systems. Including the planning and operations, water treatment, water transmission, and construction/distribution, Customer Operations, P&L and managing external relations with municipal and community leaders. In addition, oversee the accounting, engineering and customer service functions within SUEZ. I have been involved with water operations, project management, corporate due diligence, implementation of new system software, employee development, compliance, standards of service, business case and rate strategy. I have obtained a Class IB - Water System Operator GW Treatment and a Class “D” Water System Operators license from the New York State Department of Health. I have achieved my MBA, with an International Certificate in Business.
