I'm Lead trainer for The Centre's flagship program, Getting There. This is an engaging and supportive learning and education program that helps its learners to gain the confidence and skills to apply for and gain employment, or go onto further education. I add skills that help my learners build self-awareness, skills for living a better life, and work skills like creative thinking and teamwork. Getting There is a rebranded certificate course oriented to the needs of adult learners. It's a unique way of delivering two qualifications: Certificate I in General Education for Adults, and Certificate II in General Education for Adults - both accredited language, literacy and numeracy programs.My roles at The Centre have also included Training co-ordinator and trainer.
