Led the HR function for Somera Communications, Inc. and then appointed as Telmar’s VP of HR following the acquisition of Somera by Telmar. •Provided stategic and tactical direction for all HR matters and processes. •Directed all HR diligence and integration efforts for the acquisition of Santera in 2006, and Precision Communication Services in 2007.•Upgraded HR staff and added payroll responsibility to the HR function.•Facilitated out placement and severance programs.•Dissolve the Somera stock plan in compliance with SEC regulations when the company transitioned from public to private.•Orchestrated the HR integration of 7 previously acquired Telmar companies, combining multiple payrolls and standardizing all employee benefits and policies resulting in more efficient administration at less cost.•Assumed HR leadership for the HR integration of PCS, a telecommunications repair services company with three locations in the USA and two locations with two bargaining units in Canada.

Established the initial HR presence for Santera Systems, a high tech telecommunications start up organization, reporting to the CEO. Following the acquisition of Santera by Tekelec, reported to the Vice President of Human Resources for Tekelec. •Served as a member of the executive leadership team, and interfaced with the BOD, providing strategic guidance and tactical planning for all HR matters. •Guided Santera's growth from 75 to approximately 300 employees, including several members of the executive leadership team. •Resolved legal and visa issues for 20 very critical foreign employees in danger of losing the right to work in the US.•Implemented a new payroll system and added HR data base.•Provided guidance and resolvedissues within a high stress and significantly diverse corporate culture.•Managed HR related diligence and integration required of Santera by Tekelec. •Lead HR due diligence efforts for several additional Tekelec acquisition targets concluding with the purchase of Taqua Systems, Inc. and Vocal Data, Inc.•Provided HR leadership for the integration of Taqua and Vocal Data into Tekelec. •Coached senior management members facing extreme pressure to meet significant critical short term corporate objectives.

Reported to EVP of HR and to the Senior Executive of the BU. •Implemented all corporate HR programs within the BUs; recognized as the leading HR team for internal customer service.•Instrumental in developing a co-op program for software engineering students that enhanced workforce effectiveness and reduced engineering costs and recruiting expenses.•Managed outplacement of 30% of the workforce under DSC. •Directed responses to all employment related claims/legal actions brought against the company and never lost a claim or civil case. •Established effective employee relations program within the manufacturing groups that reduced turnover and absenteeism by approximately 20% and also reduced workers compensation claims.•Participated significantly in leading the HR integration team associated with the acquisition of DSC by Alcatel.
