I'm responsible for the P&L and all principal functions of the Business Process portfolio including Finance, Human Resources, Sales, Marketing and Business Intelligence, Operations and Digital Innovation across the Middle East and Africa with 2000 + people serving the geography.

P&L responsibility for the business across Middle East and Africa for all principal functions of the IBM Business Services portfolio including Finance, Human Resources, Sales, Marketing and Business Intelligence, Operations and Digital Innovation. Collaboration with other divisions of IBM and drawing out synergies was a key enabler of growth.

Global Head of financial services, responsible for Sales, Business Development, Solutions and Delivery. Led a team of over 15,000 people in 16 countries and 460 Million USD in annual revenues. Developed a formidable team of Industry specific domain experts and together had an unbeatable winning streak by adding 27 new FSS client logo’s across the America’s, Europe and Asia. Reduced cost by 24%, Increased net EBITDA by 9% percentage points, launched 12 new locations and grew revenue by 820%( 55 M USD to 450 M USD) with an industry beating attrition of 2.4% a month.

I took the challenge to build from scratch, a fully integrated hiring and training engine that could handle the screening of over 200,000 employees that could deliver a throughput of 28,000 with 95% on time delivery and 98% accuracy on Voice and Accent and other key parameters. This unit continues to be the backbone of the Concentrix hiring engine today which has over 115,000 employees.Developed and patented Sensei in collaboration with IBM research to deliver the first Voice and Accent neutral software capable of assessing people of 5 key parameters- Grammar, Pronunciation, Fluency, Word order and Comprehension in a 20- minute test and deliver an instant assessment with 90% plus accuracy. Sensei was subsequently sold to Nuance and forms an integral part of its voice recognition technology today.

Responsible for the P&L and launch of the Life Insurance business as part of the core leadership team, hand- picked to work with the MD. Set up the channel distribution across the region(Mumbai, Pune, Baroda, Ahmedabad, Indore, Nasik, Nagpur, Goa) encompassing Direct Insurance Agents, Bancassurance, Worksite marketing and Online.

Responsible for the P&L, Customer Service and Sales of the newly formed JV encompassing 30,000+ agents, HNI Sales team & Corporate Sales for the entire range of financial products ie Equity, Mutual Funds, Structured Products, IPO’s, Bonds etcLed the team that was responsible for the successful launch of the Bharti Airtel IPO and personally handled a HNI portfolio of over 500 Million USD and an overall portfolio of 15 Billion USD in AUM’s.Set up the CRM to serve the Sales intermediaries, Service staff and clients which was First of a kind and a unique selling point to attract the best brokers in the market.

Handpicked and recruited by Vishu Ramachandran the current Global Chief Credit Officer of SCB to infuse a Sales and Service orientation and exponentially grow the Retail Lending portfolio.Grew the Loans against shares portfolio 7.5 x in 2 years and we were disbursing more than all the other foreign banks collectively.Personally, co-wrote the product specifications and service offering for Personal Loans and launched the product for SCB in 1996, lending over a Million dollars a month within 6 months of launch.Launched the Professional loan product and the Depository business distribution for SCB and set up the entire Sales distribution ie Direct Sales Agents, Captive Sales outsourced company (Art Marketing) and in branch Sales team across Western India for Personal Loans, Professional Loans and Auto Finance.

Achieved mastery of the Sales process during the multiple roles held at Xerox encompassing Territory Management and Managing the most prestigious Key accounts like EXIM Bank, HPCL, BPCL etc
