Lynette Goodwin Drumwright is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 26 years of experience. She is a Principal Transportation Engineer at Noblis (formerly Mitretek Systems). Her skills include budgeting, proposal preparation, financial management, staff management, procurement support, technical writing, oversight of contractor schedules and performance, outreach, and stakeholder meeting support. Prior to her work at Noblis, Lynette served state and local transportation departments as a Transportation Engineer at Frederick R. Harris. Her primary duties included project management; traffic data collection; field evaluation of existing infrastructure and equipment; transportation planning; research and evaluation of alternative technologies; as well as development of technical memoranda, design plans, technical specifications and cost estimates. Lynette graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.S.C.E.) degree from Howard University in 1995 and earned a Master of Engineering Management (M.E.M.) degree from George Washington University in 2001. At Howard, she was inducted into the Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society. In 2003, she was awarded a “Modern-day Technology Leader” certificate at the Black Engineer of the Year Conference. In 2010, Lynette received the Technology Rising Star award at the 15th Annual Women of Color STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Conference.Lynette encourages young people to pursue engineering careers. She has spoken at elementary and middle school career days, made a presentation at a Weather Camp for high school students, served on the education committee of the National Association of Black Women in Construction, and assisted with graduation preparations at Howard University.
