Currently, I am APIFM’s program manager. I work in community-oriented spaces and am motivated to help others who sincerely benefit from APIFM services. Before being manager, I was APIFM’s Community Engagement Coordinator. I am most proud of my contributions to the elder community of Chinatown, Los Angeles. I've hosted a wide range of community activities like Tai Chi, nutrition education, and produce distributions. I love working with promotorx, or champions of the community. They are valuable members of the community and provide quality outreach. In this teamwork, I truly see an impact when practicing representation in serving the community. I take pride in my cultural roots. Born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, I grew up with ethnically Chinese, Southeast Asian parents. Immigration stories like my parents’ inspires me to continue supporting diverse communities. That is why I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in librarianship. I dream of becoming a library professional to support the equitable distribution of resources to local communities. I will be part of USC’s MMLIS graduating class of 2023.
