As a former primary headteacher for 16 years and after being in teaching for 30 years I moved to The RISE Trust in 2016. In 2017 I became the CEO leading our charity in running the Children's Centres in North Wiltshire. Since April 2024 we have stepped away from commissioned services as Wiltshire is developing a Family Hub model with Spurgeons.However, our charity has an independent range of community services and we continue to support children, young people and families from pre-birth up to the age of 19. These services include a not for profit pre-school, a supported contact centre, a Parent Support Advisor service, youth mentoring in secondary schools, a primary school mentoring service of trained volunteers, and a Youth service that supports young people out in their communities. Now our pledge is to be a shining light in our locality ensuring children, young people and families are supported through a nurturing and compassionate team of people.It is an exciting and very rewarding role and I work with a team of incredibly committed colleagues who want to make a difference to families lives. Our mission statement says it all... “Through unconditional love commitment and passion, we seek to enable all children, young people and adults to be the best that they can be”.
