I have a great imagination and I dream a lot usually when I am writing a new novel. Sometimes a chapter a night .On a good day I can write 4,000 words on a slow day maybe 1,000. I write as well as draw a cartoon for a local newspaper on a weekly basis. Art , Interior Decorating and writing to me are facets of the some thing. Imagination.I have had eighteen years as an owner/retailer of boutiques and Interior Decorating furniture shops, which involved importing furniture/designing formal Gothic style garments for weddings which our company sold wholesale worldwide. My mother was a fashion designer so I inherited some of her skills. In 1984 I became a freelance finance broker for projects and later in 1989-1995 became involved in International commodities markets. In 1991 my husband and I built a large Childcare center and ran it then sold it in 1999. In 1995 I had 3 one man art shows at Art Galleries in Warwick,Toowoomba and Stanthorpe. Then back to importing and retailing and then selling my art on ebay from 2003-2009 I sold 5,000 paintings over one million dollars worth of art. After the 2008 financial crash art slowed down and so I started my writing career in 2011.I am a twice finalist in the Bald Archy Art Prize. 2007 my portrait of Peter Costello the then Treasurer of Australia. The painting toured around Australia for 8 months in an exhibition and again in 2008 my portrait of Nicole Kidman went on tour of Australia for 8 months including the National Gallery in Canberra. I won a first prize in The Ernest Henry Memorial Art Show in the Historical Section. Painting named ' Cultural Perspective' and the painting hangs in the museum. I have been a finalist in many art shows too many to mention. I have imported furniture from Bali, including clothing and artifacts from, China, and India. For retail shops and a wholesale business in Australia. I have Designed homes; including plans decorating schemes for motels, Hotels, and designer homes and resorts.
