Starting July 1, 2021, I will have the honor and pleasure to lead Blaine County's regional sustainability and climate program in collaboration with the five incorporated cities of Sun Valley, Ketchum, Hailey, Bellevue, and Carey, as well as the community. The County's goal is to reduce climate pollution and strengthen resilience while enhancing the health of the environment, wellbeing of the community, and economic prosperity for all residents through a transition to clean energy, transportation electrification, and implementation of sustainability goals.

Professional services to advance sustainability and climate goals through strategic planning, project management, and policy development. Projects include: • Five-year strategic fundraising plan• Manage brand identity and logo development for new nonprofit, manage website development, draft website content, draft brochure and content for blogs, develop social media calendar. • Research and write policy briefings.

• Conducted City of Reno’s first community-wide greenhouse gas inventory in collaboration with partners.• Secured $350,000 in grants and sponsorship to support policy and program development. • Published first-of-its kind Sustainability Report gaining the city recognition as a 3-STAR Community.• Lead robust stakeholder process and facilitated development of data-driven Sustainability & Climate Action Plan.• Launched local Better Buildings Challenge with 131 buildings and 8 million square feet committed and oversaw energy benchmarking ordinance expected to generate $75 million in savings to building owners by 2030.• Raised awareness and recognized local leaders through communication campaign, blogs and social media posts.

• Conceptualized and directed development of STAR Communities™, a pioneering national sustainability standard. • Managed $1 million annual budget and recruited and managed team of 6 FTE. • Cultivated relationships with foundations and corporate sponsors and raised $2 million.• Enlisted 150 national experts to serve on volunteer committees who represented 50 cities and 10 counties, state and federal agencies, nonprofits, national associations, universities, utilities, and corporations.• Managed groundbreaking collaboration, mediating diversity of perspectives and leveraging formidable brain trust, gaining consensus on guiding principles, sustainability goals, and performance metrics.• Planned and facilitated annual meetings convening 150+ stakeholders.

• Convened industry stakeholders to develop green building policies and programs contributing to strongest US market with 2% market share and 58 LEEDTM projects totaling 7.9 million square feet and $1.8 billion by 2005. • Launched residential green building program increasing certified projects from 12 to 84 and 342 units in 2 years.• Managed annual budget in excess of $1.5 million and raised more than $750,000 to augment city resources.• Led interdepartmental teams in development of incentives, technical resources, educational programs, and case studies, such as Green Building Density Bonus, Rainwater Harvesting Guidelines, Urban Sustainability Forum. • Collaborated with community stakeholders to pilot and gain LEED-ND Rating for South Lake Union Urban Center.

• Developed green building services increasing profitability and strengthening competitive advantage and brand. • Established first nationally recognized Construction Waste Management Program – recycled 90% of construction waste and saved up to $1 million annually.• Partnered with local and state governments to expand construction waste management practices helping to establish markets for recycled materials and expand building materials salvage. • Initiated pilot project to test feasibility of recycling ceiling products resulting in Armstrong World Industries’ national Ceiling Recycling Program with Armstrong diverting over 40,000 tons from landfills by 2010.
