I have worked in a variety of countries & industries during my working life, with half of that time at the Environment Agency in Hatfield. I gave up full time work in 2015 to care for our disabled daughter.I’ve enjoyed being a Councillor for 8 years & have especially loved being Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield for two terms. I'm really proud of the many community focussed partnership projects I've been involved in that have been a success time and again. I’ve spent a lot of time volunteering with a number of local charities and community groups, focussing on collaboration, project & change management, event planning, fundraising and social networking. I am particularly proud to have worked with a fire service colleague to open Hatfield Night Shelter.I’ll be looking for a new job in 2018 (when I stand down as a councillor & Mayor in March).
