I work with some amazing people every single day—both patients and clinicians.I joined the Proton Center team in 2006 for the specific purpose of working with cancer patients who were coming to the Center for treatment. It has been some of the most rewarding work of my life.I’ve been a part of the LLUH team for 15 years, and have always focused on creating opportunities for better engagement with the various aspects of Loma Linda University Health, particularly in the areas of development and philanthropy. In my current role I can see firsthand the results of some of that work, and I interface with our patients and their families to customize and enhance their experience while they are here at Loma Linda.Every one of our patients come to us at a critical moment in their lives. The opportunity to connect with them during this time, to do everything possible to make this a beneficial and rewarding experience, and to optimize the environment of care for the best clinical results, are the things I love best about my work. Many of the patients I’ve worked with have become close and personal friends. That’s a big part of the Loma Linda Proton experience. And something I’m very proud of.
