- Introduced a user-centered design approach in higher education to research best practices for email communication methods to improve the incoming new student experience- Designed and managed 2 online learning courses for about 500 incoming students based on students’ needs; the university’s first approach of designing a “flipped” model of orientation- Developed a longitudinal email study with 3 participants to understand how students access emails, process information, and track external communications over the course of 3 months- Researched new student experience processes by interviewing 44 students and 20 stakeholders- Conducted an internal email audit with 9 departments to gather information about current student communications, specifically looking at content and timing of each email- Strategically developed 10 email communication plans with specific designs, content, and timing for an average outreach of about 750 students

- Completed ten-week independent solo project to researched how students accessed the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences' website to learn about academic programs with its current design and layout - Designed a usability study by creating research questions, writing scenarios and tasks, and identifying success metrics utilizing a high level of detail and accuracy - Conducted 5 usability studies with representative students to gather user input and data- Reviewed user feedback by analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to identify patterns, suggestions, and possible solutions in order to provide an excellent user experience

- Collaborated with Interactive Producers to publish content on KCTS 9’s website by editing and producing 4 videos for the UW Oceanography project using Final Cut Pro X- Logged and transcribed 15 videos to create rough scripts and storyboards for editing
