In this volunteer position I was on a panel of the Institutional Review Board tasked with reviewing research projects submitted for approval. I reviewed projects with a focus on the protection of human subjects and discussed questions with the full panel.

In this position I am responsible for directly overseeing evaluations related to two DCFS programs (SASS, a statewide child mental health crisis program, and specialized foster care). In my six years on NUSAC, I was the chair (2 years), responsible for setting NUSAC's agenda and leading the group. I was also treasurer (2 years) and Communications Committee chair (1 year). NUSAC advises the university president and senior.

In this volunteer position, I help The Employment Project program participants in their job search, including helping with resumes, cover letters, online job searches and mock interviewing.
