• Directs the activities of the assigned personnel involved in the operation/maintenance of various utilities equipment of the power plant. • Ensures the safe operations of the various power utilities equipment in the central power plant is carried out safely as per the standard instructions, such as gas turbine, generator, transformers, high voltage alternators, …etc. • Takes initiatives during emergency situations, as failure will lead to blackout and process plant shutdown. Coordinate emergency in accordance with emergency protocol and SOPs.• Carry out explosive, oxygen and toxic gas tests for hot work and vessel entry, and sign Permit to Work for approval prior to commencement of work. • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly checks including gas and oil leak tests, and oil level checks.• Check and ensure all checks registers are up to date. Ensure all control room register and logs are updated including OLM, equipment handover, shift handover, PTW register or any other log/register and administrative documents related to the power plant.• Make a good record and handover all control room portable equipment (radios, gas testers etc.) to the next shift.• Closely Monitor calibrations dates and report.• Strong Operational Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI & DCS in the Power Plant.• Ensure weekly and monthly tests of backup system of the Plant such as Generator sets and Gas Compressors etc.• Implement safe operations on PCS7 and PMS in accordance with established SOPs and job safety standards.• Daily Coordination with to discuss problems and requirements related to Electrical, Mechanical, and Instrument and Utilities equipment. • Strong Knowledge about Protection Relays Like, ABB & MICOM P633, P141, P111, P123, P120 O/C &E/F • Supervise the operations of power distribution panels which includes 0.4kv, 6.6kv, 11kv & 33kv system.• Operational experience of Schneider DNF7 & PIX12 switchgear as well as ABB Unigear ZS2 switchgear.
