Over the years and with my work in the angel and startup communities, Brain Gain, LLC has focused more on angels, entrepreneurs (of all ages) as critical elements for growing startups and vibrant communities, and grant writing & management. My work with Brain Gain, LLC has provided me with many opportunities such as serving as the Executive Director of the PA Angel Network (PAN), with its 17 angel group members from across PA representing over 450 active angel investors. A highlight from there included our monthly angel roundtables with the leaders from angel groups across the Commonwealth discussing deals, best practices, and opportunities for deal syndication.Overall, from multiple experiences with angels and startups seeking angel investment, I have reviewed over 2,000 pitches, business plans and materials from a wide range of industries. With years of perspective and experience, I am very proud of our services offered for entrepreneurs education on pitching to angel investors, individual pitch coaching, and the pitch drill to practice putting the pitch and ability to answer angel questions to the test. In Governor’s Tom Ridge administration, I started in a local government policy role working on land use issues and then was selected as the first state-wide Manager of his $12 million dollar recruiting initiative, Brain Gain- “Stay Invent the Future”.
