Student Assistant And Junior Instructional Designer
During my time working at Delft University of Technology I performed several functions across different departments, most notably as a Junior Learning Developer for the 'Extension School for Continuing Education' and as a Student Assistant within the Department of Urbanism. In the Junior Learning Developer role I was part of small teams that built two online courses, one higher-level course targeted at industry professionals (Spatial Circularity Strategies for Sustainable Regional Development - built as two different but related courses on separate online platforms) and another lower-level course targeted at a wider audience (Sustainable Building with Timber). For both courses, I was responsible for the proofreading and editing of video scripts, as well as for the translation of the academic experts' design intent onto the relevant online environment (Open EdX Studio and FutureLearn), a task requiring good communication skills and flexibility. Further, for the higher-level course, I was responsible for the co-ordination of the learner experience through the moderation of online discussion forums and the hosting of live online webinars. In the Student Assistant role I was primarily responsible for the organisation of a multi-day international academia-industry conference on data collection and handling to further the circularity transition in Europe. As part of my work on the conference I co-ordinated our outreach strategy, communicated with international delegations and presenters, and worked with colleagues to ensure that the conference days were successful. In addition to my work on the international conference, I was responsible for the management and editing of a series of websites using WordPress. Notable amongst these was my work on the TU Delft OpenCourseWare website. In this role I was responsible for the conversion of two Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) into free and publicly accessible online courses
