District Health Communication Support Officer
Current• Support Government partners during polio rounds in non-SM areas including visiting rural area for monitoring and help cover missed households• Monitor UC and community level activities for polio eradication and routine immunization in reluctant and underserved communities• Directly supervise the work of UCOs in the assigned district through frequent field visits, review meetings, appraisals of reports and review of performance.• Provide direction to UCO’s in ensuring that social mobilizers are selected along the profile described in the Social Mobilizer TOR.• Prepare a district-specific plan of Communication activities, clearly identifying where SM’s are deployed and activities planned• Prepare monthly and weekly impact assessment report/progress against plan• Weekly activity report. • Facilitating data to Government partners when required, - regularly, on polio rounds. • Liaise with EDOs for timely dissemination of IEC materials for polio eradication and routine immunization.• Represent UNICEF in the field when requested. E.g.: at any activity organized by partners Underserved Strategy.
