Maarten is Vice President of INNOPAY, an international consultancy firm for digital transactions that was acquired by Oliver Wyman in 2024. As a thought leader in data sharing, he advises the financial industry in general – and the insurance and pension sectors in particular – on how to reap the benefits of open finance collaboration and data-sharing ecosystems. Within INNOPAY, he is leading the Data Sharing and Insurance teams.Most recently, Maarten has been helping clients to navigate the upcoming European Financial Data Access (FIDA) regulation. Similarly to PSD2, this regulation will impose third-party data-sharing requirements on all financial institutions and has the potential to fundamentally disrupt the business model of incumbents. Prior to joining INNOPAY, Maarten worked as a business strategy consultant in the Financial Services practice of Accenture in Amsterdam. In parallel with his position at INNOPAY, Maarten initiated the Dutch Data Sharing Coalition, a government-funded and ever-growing alliance of over 150 organizations who are working together to establish a cross-sectoral data-sharing scheme. Father-of-two Maarten is an avid cyclist, and his bucket list includes the European Divide Trail.
