I serviced a diverse portfolio of clients in the (bio)chemistry sector with grant applications and all relevant national and EU funding instruments. I also supported clients in achieving their innovation ambitions by conducting technology scans, stakeholder analyses and develop project plans or collaborations.

• Advisor for start-up company ‘UPyTher’, whose goal it is to bring biomaterials to the clinic.• Performed grant applications and animal experiment design.• Wrote consortium reports and trained new PhD students.• Set up 3D cell cultures and assays for testing new chemotherapeutics.

• Main research project on controlled drug delivery using a variety of biomedical materials and techniques.• Collaborated intensively in a multidisciplinary team with physicians and surgeons from the Catharina Hospital and the UMC Utrecht leading to multiple shared publications.• First-authored seven peer-reviewed papers published in scientific journals.• Presented research in consortia to non-scientists and provided technical assistance and expertise for application of our developed biomaterials during animal experiments.• Worked on the development of a new MRI-guided injection catheter and methodology, in collaboration with physicians and industrial partners.• Experienced being in the OR during surgery to see and discuss hands-on the practical issues a surgeon encounters.• Chaired the weekly research group-meeting for three years.• Managed the ML-II laboratory for three years; taking care of introductions, orders and (maintenance of) equipment.• Followed courses in Biostatistics, Polymer Science, Supramolecular Chemistry and Scientific Integrity.• Supervised several (groups of) bachelor and master students during their projects.• Teached classes ‘Organic Chemistry’ to groups of up to 35 students.• Presented work (oral and poster) at international conferences.
