Aircraft Process Developer

Schiphol, The Netherlands

In the role of Process Developer I am responsible for developing new solutions at Schiphol's airside, which range from new infrastructure to new processes and procedures. This involves collecting requirements from all involved stakeholders and using these to develop a concept of operations. This concept of operations is then used as the basis for the design of new infrastructure and/or new processes.Among my projects I developed the requirements for a stopbar on one of the runways, in order to prevent runway incursions. This is one of the projects that has satisfied one of the recommendations of the Dutch Safety Board.Another project is the development of the Outbound Holding process that will improve efficiency of our aircraft and passenger flow, where an aircraft ready for departure, but with a start up delay will be moved from its gate to a holding position elsewhere on the airport, to make way for an inbound aircraft.I have also been part of the taxibot project where I lead the development of a concept of operations (CONOPS) to introduce sustainable taxiing at Schiphol Airport. This CONOPS was developed with 4 airlines and their ground handling companies.
