I have worked in the Information Technology field since 2014. I am currently working as a level 2 Network Infrastructure Engineer. Some of my responsibilities include updating and improving network systems, coordinating and consulting with internet service providers, building and configuring networks for new branches, managing vendors, maintaining existing networks, troubleshooting outages, supporting our call center and other departments to better meet our members needs. I've also spent years in customer service and pride myself in my ability to not only effectively communicate but to carefully listen.

  Incumbents work under general supervision, relying on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform networking and system duties such as design, implement, support, troubleshoot LANs and WANs, and troubleshoot system or server issues. This position requires knowledge of routing, switching, systems administration, and familiarity with the corporate infrastructure. The candidate must be willing to work within a team whose goal is to ensure the stability and integrity of these systems.Specific Accountabilities: -Support company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks; including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, IP Telephony, and other hardware/software.-Configure networks and systems to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes while maintaining security.-Monitor network and system performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.-Collaborate with management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs.-Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.-Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, and other network appliances.-Manage servers, including Linux and Windows.-Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network and system administration, usage, and disaster recovery.-Conduct research on network/server products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.-Practice network and system asset management, including maintenance of inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.-Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.-Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
