Project: Western Roads Upgrade ($1.8bil)D&C Contractor: WBHODescription:The PPP project included eight high-priority road upgrades, road widenings, intersection upgrades, almost 30km of duplicated road and more than 260 kilometres of road rehabilitation and maintenance across Melbourne’s west.I was responsible for the structural project engineering on Project 8 which includes:• Construction of the new 6 span, duel carriageway Duncans Road bridge over the Princes Freeway;• Demolition of the existing Duncan’s Road bridge;• Construction of 4 new on/off ramps providing improved accessibility between Duncans Road and Princes Freeway.

Project: North Eastern Project Alliance ($370mil)Alliance: Laing O'Rourke, Fulton Hogan, MTM, Jacobs with Level Crossing Removal Authority as the clientDescription: • The removal of two level crossings at Grange Road and Lower Plenty Road; • Building the new Rosanna train station;• 1.2km of track duplication between Heidelburg and Rosanna; and• Signalling, OHW and Power upgrades to support the above.

Project: Torrens Junction Upgrade ($180mil)Alliance: Laing O'Rourke, DPTI, AECOM, KBR with DPTI also as the clientDescription: The Torrens Junction grade separation project involved lowering the Outer Harbor rail line below both the interstate freight line and the adjacent Inner Ring Route (Park Terrace). The lowered rail line extended for a length of approximately 1.5 kilometres, over which one railway bridge, three road bridges, four pedestrian bridges and the new Bowden station were constructed.
