I am a graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara, with a degree in Geology. During the course of my education I was exposed to a wide range of geologic topics, such as sedimentology and stratigraphy, petrology, geochemistry, geomorphology & surface processes, structural geology, environmental geology, and over two months of cumulative field geology experince, including a 6-week summer field camp.In my current position I provide consulting services to clients, in both private and public sectors, regarding hazardous materials including but not limited to; asbestos, lead, mold and heavy metals. I perform sampling of potential hazardous materials, create detailed and accurate field maps of sampling activity, digitize field maps using GIS software, and prepare deliverables for clients. Preparing deliverables for clients consists of analyzing laboratory data and sampling technician notes/observations to write technical reports containing analysis of results, explanations of methodology, recommendations for future activity, and digitized sampling maps. I correspond with clients to provide estimates of potential project costs and scope of work, and professional recommendations to maintain regulatory compliance.I research and coordinate adoption of new practices and software tools to streamline workflows and prepare for scalable growth. I implemented a project management software and consistently work to increase functionality. I utilize my background in geology to attempt to branch out into previously untapped professional fields, such as naturally occurring asbestos consulting. I update and create new GIS templates to provide a broader range of quality maps for use in deliverables for clients. I establish more consistent companywide branding practices through the use of consistent fonts and logos in company documents and on company materials.
