I conduct research in the EdTech industry that meets the standards for evidence of effectiveness under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). I am responsible for large-scale experimental and quasi-experimental studies conducted on a wide range of supplemental and core education technology products. I assess study risks, ensure strong implementation, manage partnerships between independent research firms and school districts, and disseminate findings across various stakeholders.My doctoral training was in experimental psychology with a focus on children's learning. During my doctoral program, my primary research was on math learning in economically disadvantaged populations. I designed, implemented, and tested the efficacy of math interventions that combined technology with caring, supportive adults to create an environment where children were motivated to take control of their own learning experiences.
