More than 30 years I work in the area of technological innovation. I am strongly driven by realizing innovative applications of cutting edge technologies, and fascinated by the challenge to line up technology push and market pull in a R&D environment. With a background in Physics, I highly value the high level of expertise and creativity of the passionate scientists in my working environment. As a leader of professionals, I strive for openness, transparency and a safe working environment. I have an open mind for new ideas and alternative approaches, combined with a drive for concrete results and practical solutions. I am a strong believer of the benefits of joint innovations and mission driven collaborations in research and entrepreneurship. Currently, being responsible for innovations in Building and Civil Infrastructure, and in Maritime and Offshore, I stimulate the collaboration between companies, knowledge organizations and public authorities.
