Ten-month team based residential community service program that supported response and recovery efforts for FEMA and the American Red Cross. Functioned as the FEMA Corps team Project Outreach Liaison, and Assistant team leader. As the POL I Identified possible future project sponsors; coordinated a community volunteer day with project sponsors, identified ISP opportunities; and arranged service opportunities for the 4 National Days of Service: 9/11, Global Youth Service Day, Make a Difference Day and MLK Day. Collaborated with a network of students and staff to implement an independent chapter of the national nonprofit Swipe Out Hunger at the Florida State University that works towards using a meal credit system to feed peers and the local community. Key Accomplishments:• Conducted Research on Florida States Food service provider. • Produced a chapter constitution on the logistics of the program. Drafted and presented a proposal outlining the logistics to implement the program to dining services, staff, and faculty. • Launched social media and fundraising pages.• Coordinated meetings, developed meeting content and presented information to faculty, staff, and students.
