As a Piton Fellow at Gary Community Ventures, I joined a diverse cohort of early career professionals dedicated to becoming community-centric leaders in Denver. Over the course of nine months I participated in leadership learning experiences with local leaders, built deep connections with my peers, and became a proud member of the extensive Piton Network.

Sevilla, Andalusia, Spain

Promoted diversity of education and led classes on grammar and culture for 5th and 6th grade students. Facilitated conversational activities and cultural exchange lessons in English. Assisted small groups of students as they developed their listening and conversational skills

Presented the Indego Exoskeleton device at the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Conference, and the Worker's Compensation Conference. As a presenter, displayed the technology and discussed the benefits and importance of using robotic technologies in rehabilitation practices

Aspen, CO

Curated a panel of speakers for the 2019 Aspen Ideas Festival. Assisted with the fellowship program and ensured all fellow events were well organized.

Greater Denver Area

Managed and led the research on two inmate’s cases, evaluated previous trial information and followed up with other potential leads. At the completion of the internship, prepared a final presentation to the board displaying the complete investigation and gave advice for how to best handle the cases moving forward.

Aspen Colorado

Coordinated all the volunteers for the various week-long summer camps. Organized the volunteers according to camper dynamics so that there were 1-to-1 volunteer to camper ratios for our campers that needed extra support. Also headed the research into the accessibility of local businesses in the cities of Aspen and Snowmass. This research was later compiled.
