Mackenzie is a Data Scientist and Applied AI specialist, who is passionate about trustworthy AI and driving cost savings solutions for clients. From decreasing compute costs by 80% to implementing a capacity project saving over $6 million a year, she actively champions working effectively and efficiently. By scaling her solutions, her capacity saving project forecasts over $40 million in savings over the next 10 years. In addition to her client work, Mackenzie is involved in driving eminence pieces and co-authored “Unlocking AI Capabilities with MLOps” published by Deloitte. Before joining the firm, Mackenzie attended the University of Southern California as a Mork Family Scholar, the top merit scholarship given to 10 students who demonstrate “exceptional talent and intellectual capability.” She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Business Administration in 2020, and a Masters of Science in Data Science and Communication in 2021. Alongside her two award-winning undergraduate theses: “IQ Without EQ: The Insoluble Problem for Engineers” and “The Engineer’s Blindspot: Amplified by Algorithms," her graduate school thesis researched the effect of imbalance datasets effect on Convolutional Neural Networks. Mackenzie has been actively involved in the girls in STEM movement. Her efforts were recognized as she became Stanford She++ Fellow, received the Young Change Maker award, and was honored by President Obama at the White House Women’s History Month Reception.
