I am currently studying at Auckland University of Technology towards a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Culinary Arts.I have always enjoyed cooking and Culinary Arts. From a young age I have been lucky enough to be able to try new types of food and cooking at home and a real love of food and cooking for friends and family has grown over the years.Traveling in 2014 as part of my Gap Year, exposed me to many different things and helped define who I want to be and the ideals I want to strive for. It helped me confirm that the Hospitality industry was where I wanted to be, but also try to incorporate the business side into my life as well.In my early teenage years I had an idea of opening a sustainable restaurant/bistro. Over the years, this idea has developed as I have been educated and grown as a person. One day I hope to make this dream a reality. I believe a sustainable food industry is an issue we all need to start thinking about as a long term solution for society. I hope that my studies in Business and Culinary Arts will be advantageous for me in my chosen career path.Currently, I am working in the hospitality industry to gain as much knowledge as possible to help with my future plans.
