I will work to enact social change at a local level pushing for community building that enables those with marginalized voices to speak.Currently attending Berea College to receive a Bachelor's in Communication and Broadcast Journalism.Is employed through Berea to work with Berea College News & Radio. At this job, I work as a Managing Reporter, Anchor, or Technical Director. Once I graduate from Berea, I plan to go into the field of Journalism as a freelance Investigative Journalist, News Reporter, or Technical Producer. When I am not attending Berea, I work part-time at Kroger as a Clicklist Associate. At this job, I personally shop for customers and bring their groceries out to their cars. I would love to take Appalachia/ Kentucky to a large news station and include them in the narrative. I've witnessed so many of my community members suffer from poverty, the opioid crisis, oppression, and many other hardships. I find that these voices are often neglected in news, and I am working to ensure that they are included in the media. Berea College is my anchor to achieve this goal, and I am so proud to carry them with me on this journey.
