I am a people-oriented organizer with strong interpersonal skills and specialized attention to detail. My previous experience in grassroots campaigning, environmental education and social entrepreneurship has led me to work in a variety of fields including, but not limited to, environmental sustainability, youth issues, women's reproductive rights, independent films, legal gun ownership, and innovative philanthropy.After graduating from the University of San Francisco, I relocated to Mendocino County where I have been working to turn a former logging mill and commercial fishery into a sustainable campground and event center in the heart of the Emerald Triangle. My intentions are to improve corporate social responsibility, environmental education standards, as well as connect the public back to our natural roots and encourage people to occasionally disconnect from the technological hotseat of Silicon Valley.

Mayors Against Illegal Guns was initiated to fix gun checks in the United States. Today, in order to obtain a gun, there are two steps in the process - passing a criminal felony background check, as well as a mental stability check. These are not difficult to adhere to, and yet every year much gun violence and many deaths occur as a result of failure to take these two background steps. My duties while working with Mayors Against Illegal Guns were to facilitate in coordinating an event on Capitol Hill with youth activists against illegal guns. I additionally helped with an event at Virginia Tech which aired a documentary film about the shooting on campus in 2007 which was created to spurn interest and engagement in our campaign to Fix Gun Checks.
