I have worked with middle school students throughout my career to help bring them inquiry based science learning and real world connections. I strive to create units that incorporate multiple styles of learning and assessments that meet the needs of all students. My passion for science and learning about the world we live in is a part of who I am and brings learning to life for my students.Over the past few years I have been working with others to train and mentor incoming educators to the field. Going out and guest speaking at Roger Williams University and teaching at Providence College lets me show others why the practices they are learning about are so important to real world application in the classroom. My passion for creating meaningful assessments and curriculum and the variety of ways of accomplishing this is communicated to the next generation of educators through hands on application of the ideas they have been learning. This was even more integral when working with student teachers and having observations from each of these institutions as well. In the future I want to continue working with incoming educators to prepare them for the intricacies of the educational field while continuing my own growth and development of educational practices and application.
