Graduating with an Honours degree in Civil Engineering from the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. Following graduation, Afifi initially commenced his professional career in the onshore civil construction sector, before crossing over into the Oil and Gas construction industry, working for the main installation contractor, now known as Sapura Energy Berhad. Specialising in Engineering, Procurement, Constructions, Installation and Commissioning (EPCIC), Afifi has been involved in various roles, including Field Engineer, Lead Engineer and Company Representative for EPCIC Projects, including offshore structures, pipelines and other subsea installation operations. After moving to join Technip, Afifi gained further exposure to the Subsea Umbilical Riser Flowlines (SURF) architecture and flexible environment of the construction sector.With over 6 years in the industry, both in onshore and offshore roles, Afifi has transitioned his experience and technical understanding within the Loss Adjusting world, specialising in the offshore CAR, Ops claims environment, as well as shipyard BAR incidents.

Seeking a new challenge, Afifi decided to move into Loss Adjusting with Brookes Bell, Singapore in January 2015.Using experience from working with major offshore installation contractors previously, he is specialising in Construction All Risk claims.
